
Vidalia onions are a local Georgia delicacy. Each spring we begin the search for the first sweet Vidalia onions. They are sweet yellow onions available in the spring and summertime. These onions are unusually sweet compare to others because of the low amount of sulfur in the soil in where Vidalia onions are grown. Some even eat them like apples, yes there that sweet.
For you guys not in or around Georgia. You can actually buy them online here.
But of course this recipe would work with any type of onion just not with the sweetest you get from a Vidalia.

Vidalia Onion
Almond Milk
Apple Cider Vinegar
Paprika
Instructions
Step 1: Start by cutting a large onion into slices
Step 2: Mix one cup of milk and 1 ½ tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to make vegan Buttermilk. Set aside.
Let sit for 5 minutes to make Buttermilk
Step 3: Mix all of the dry ingredients together.
Salt and Pepper to taste
Step 4: Set up dipping station on counter place buttermilk, batter and onions side by side
Step 5: Heat vegetable oil at medium temperature. After few minutes test oil by sprinkling a tiny amount of the dry batter mix in. When it sizzles you are ready to add onion rings to the oil.
Step 6: Dip onion rings in wet and then dry and add them to the oil. Cook until golden brown about three minutes
Step 7: Place onion rings on paper towel to help remove excess oil
The Crispiest Gluten-free Vidalia Onion rings

- deep fryer or air fryer
Ingredients
- 1 large Vidalia Onion
- 1 cup Almond Milk
- 1½ tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
- ¾ All Purpose Gluten-free flour
- ¼ cup Cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon Baking soda
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions

- 1 cup Almond Milk
- 1-½ tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar

- 1 tablespoons Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoons Paprika
- Salt and Pepper to taste
