A homemade vegan BBQ jackfruit pizza with tangy BBQ sauce, jackfruit, red and yellow onions. We’ve add peaches for a summer twist but you could easily skip adding those. This non-dairy, cheese free pizza is the most delicious homemade pizza you’ll have all summer.

We love pizza and enjoy trying all sorts of topping combinations. So when we picked peaches we knew we just had to try them on a pizza and so BBQ Jackfruit pizza was born.

Key Ingredients
- Green jack-fruit in brine
- Favorite Store bought barbecue sauce
- Optional Peaches or Pineapple chucks
- Wholly Wholesome premade pizza dough
- Onions - red & white
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F.
Step 2: Drain jackfruit and wash thoroughly picking out seeds.
Step 3: If using, prepare fruit. Slice peaches into roughly 6 to 8 slices (Thin slices will cook faster, thicker slices will cook slow).
Step 4: Place jackfruit in a large, heated, pan over medium heat.
Step 5: As the jackfruit cooks and gets tender, pull apart with a fork (Add small amounts of water if needed to prevent drying out).
Step 6: Cook for about 30 minutes until tender. Add BBQ sauce to jack-fruit in the pan and stir.
Step 7: Reduce heat to low - medium and cook for about 5 minutes (up to 10 minutes on low heat for a deeper flavor).
Step 8: Prepare pizza dough according to package instructions.
Step 9: Pre-bake crust for 10 minutes before adding toppings (for a lighter airy pizza crust).
Step 10: Place generous portions of BBQ jack-fruit, mushroom, peppers and spinach on pizza crust.
Step 11: Add the fruit making sure to spread evenly across pizza.
Step 12: Bake topped pizza for 12-14 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
STORAGE
To Store. Best eaten right out of the oven.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
