WHAT IS A PAWPAW? 

Pawpaw fruit is a delicious yellow-green or brown, seeded, fruit that grows in temperate climates and is native to the eastern United States and Canada. Pawpaw is the edible fruit from the tree of the same name.

CAN YOU EAT THE PAWPAW FRUIT?

Yes, you can! The soft fruit can be eaten raw with a spoon or they can be used in smoothies, ice cream or cooked in pies and pastries.

WHERE CAN I FIND PAWPAWS?

They're found across the Eastern United States and South East of Canada, growing along creek banks and in shaded areas

WHEN ARE  PAWPAWS AVAILABLE?

They have a short season, between late August and early October.

HOW TO PICK  PAWPAWS

Look for dark spots and a yellow-green color. Once they are ripe, you can easily twist them off the branch or pick them off of the ground.

HOW DO PAWPAWS TASTE AND SMELL?

It has a sweet flavor like a Banana, Mango or Pineapple with a creamy custard texture and a flowery, pineapple citrus smell.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
