Gluten-Free Waffles

These gluten-free fonio waffles are crispy on the outside, tender and fluffy on the inside. Fast and simple to make with just 9 simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Fonio flour Gluten-Free Flour with xanthan gum Baking Powder Salt Water Maple syrup Vegan Egg Cinnamon powder Vanilla

Step One

Mix the dry ingredients - Fonio flour, Gluten-Free flour with xanthan gum, baking powder and salt together in a large mixing cup or bowl. Set Aside.

Step Two

In a 6 cup measuring cup add all your wet ingredients. Pour the liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk until batter is smooth and lump free.

Step Three

Pour about 3/4 cups of the waffle batter onto the preheated waffle iron. Bake for 4-5 minutes or until browned and crisp.

Step Four

Transfer the waffles to the oven rack to keep warm and repeat with the remaining batter. Add maple syrup and enjoy.
