Can You Substitute Condensed Milk For   Dulce De Leche?

Yes, you can use condensed milk or coconut milk.  All make great options for making dulce de leche. Each of them has a unique flavor and texture.

What Is It  Made From?

This recipe uses oat milk instead of coconut milk, which makes it a great, dairy free, caramel sauce, for topping ice cream.

Step One

Start with one can of unopened vegan sweetened condensed milk. Remove the label from your can.

Step Two

Place can in instant pot and fill the pot with water up to the max fill line. The can should be completely covered with water. Lock the lid and set the vent to sealing.

Step Three

Set the pressure on high and cook for 35 minutes. About 10 minutes for the instant pot to come up to pressure. Let the pot release its pressure.

Step Four

Carefully remove the can from hot water and allow to cool before opening. Open and transfer sauce to a lidded container.
