Where to Eat in This Desert Oasis. Palm Springs, a desert paradise known for its midcentury modern architecture, isn’t the biggest vegan food destination, but it does offer a handful of tasty plant-based options worth checking out.
Whether you’re nearby at Coachella, lounging poolside, or exploring the rugged beauty of Joshua Tree National Park, you can still find delicious vegan meals—you just might have to search a little harder. We tried the ice cream which was yummy but the heat made it melt quickly, but what really sold us are the vegan cinnamon rolls. Both the cinnamon roll and chocolate chip cookie were really big in size and on taste. The vanilla frosting of the cinnamon roll had a smooth and mellow flavor that was so wonderful.

Where We Stayed

Yara Boutique Luxury Hotel
Location - 221 E Sonora Rd, Palm Springs, CA 92264.
Hotel prices can be pretty high in this desert resort, but we found a small boutique hotel with only 10 rooms circled around a courtyard with a fantastic pool that's heated in the cooler months. Perfect for a couple or even a girlfriend's getaway.
Nightly Rates: around $150 a night.
Should You Rent A Car
Yes, driving is the best option for getting around. There is public transit and of course ride-shares but Palm Springs is very spread out and without a car you would end up spending a lot of time and money in transit try to dine at vegan restaurants in Palm Springs.
Things To Do
Palm Springs Aerial Tramway

Palm Springs Aerial Tramway
Address: 1 Tram Way Palm Springs, CA 92262
With postcard-worthy views, the tram connects the Coachella Valley with San Jacinto. Lines form fast, so we recommend getting there early.
It's three miles to the gate to pay for parking which is $15, and they will let you know wait times. From there, you park and get a bus ride up to the actual tram station. A one day pass costs $38.00 per adult /$18.95 per child.
Also, remember your going up in altitude so it gets cold. The day we went, it was 35 degrees at the top. The ride is about 20 minutes up and there is a restaurant at the top but no vegan options. There is also very spotty cell signal at the tram station.
