What Are Vegan Ribs?
Vegan ribs are a plant-based meat substitute to replace traditional animal based ribs. Vegan ribs can be made from a range of ingredients: vital wheat gluten for seitan and jackfruit & plant-based ground meat, are some of the most common for homemade rib substitutes. Ingredients like horseradish and sugar cane are used as the bone of the ribs. For the prepackaged varieties like Juicy Marbles, the main ingredient is soy protein.
Product Ingredients
These bone-in vegan ribs are high in protein, high in vitamin B12 and Non- GMO.
Ingredients: Water, Soy Protein Concentrate (25%), Sunflower Oil, Natural Flavours, Thickeners (carrageenan, methylcellulose), Red Beet Juice Concentrate, Apple Extract, Salt, Vitamin B12. Contains: Soy
Cost
The cost for 2 packages (6 servings, we are greedy so it was more like 4 for us) was $77.00 plus $15.00 for shipping & handling for a total of $92.00.

There are 3 servings per package of Juicy Marble Vegan Ribs.

Packaging
Shipped from the manufacturer in insulated dry ice filled containers. If thawed, store them in the refrigerator at +40° F - +46° F. Or you can freeze them for up to 3 months.
The plastic package in our opinion is good for freezer storage. As you get closer to the three month mark be careful to use to avoid them getting freezer burn.

Storage
You can store your bone-in ribs in the freezer and eat them within 12 months. Once thawed, keep them refrigerated and use within 3 days of opening. Or, if left unopened in the refrigerator, they can be stored for 21 days.
Perfect Barbecue Sides
Review
I haven't had ribs in over 20 years but the taste and texture are really close to what I remember regular ribs tasting like. The ribs can be made quickly.
Taste: the Juicy Marbles ribs are unseasoned and do not come with a rub mixture or barbecue sauce. They recommended marinating in a spice rub (see the rub we used in the recipe below). A savory sweet and smoky taste. They have just the right amount of saltiness and adding bbq sauce only gave them better flavor.
Texture: they're succulent, juicy and fall off the bone tender, not tough at all. These textured plant based ribs shred really well from the bone. Yes, they have a fake bone which is edible; we don’t recommend eating them, tough.
