The People's Market Co. is bakery, cafe and coffee shop right in the heart of Charlotte with a good variety of tasty vegan friendly food. They have a good selection of vegan and gluten free pastries and doughnuts, that you can watch being handmade every morning in the bakery.
What we ordered: Vegan Breakfast Burrito with Vegan Sausage, Vanilla Birthday Cake Doughnut, Brown Sugar Cinnamon Cookie, and an Almond Joy Scone.

If you're craving the crispiest, lightest, most mouth-watering, fried Oyster mushroom "chik'n" alfredo this is the spot to get it. The vibes and service are good, the food is great and we couldn't help but leave totally satisfied. From hearty breakfast plates to satisfying lunch and dinner selections, they offer something for everyone.
What we ordered: Chik'n Alfredo, Cheeseburger Quesadilla, and a Strawberry Milkshake
Bean Vegan Cuisine (V)

Started in 2012; Bean Vegan Cuisine is a pop culture themed eatery, specializing in Southern comfort foods, that are cholesterol free and full of flavor with dedicated vegan menu.
What we ordered: Tofu Finger Sandwich, Steamed Kale with Sesame Seeds


Jinya Ramen Bar (VF)

Jinya is a contemporary Japanese ramen bar, known for rich broths and hand made noodles. They only have a few vegan options, but what they have always hit the spot and makes our taste buds sing.
What we ordered: Spicy Creamy Vegan Ramen, Impossible Jinya Bun, Edamame, Vegan Red Fire Opal
Oh My Soul (V)

This 100% vegan South African restaurant has breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts, fresh juice, smoothies and coffee. They have an outdoor patio area where live music plays in the shade of a 100 year old oak tree. The staff is friendly and very helpful, making sure to explain all of the dishes and their ingredients and the decor is colorful and full of good energy.
What we ordered: The Waka Waka, Crispy Seitan Peri-Buffalo Wings, Hibiscus Peach Iced Tea and fresh baked brownie.
MaMa Wok Vegan Chinese Cuisine (V)

A 100% vegan, dine-in or to-go, family style, Chinese restaurant that serves a wide variety of lunch and dinner items.
What we ordered: Spring Rolls, vegan Sesame "Beef" with Broccoli, and Thai Iced Tea.

Seemingly Overzealous Vegan Ice Cream (V)

Seemingly Overzealous is a great spot to get a cool tasty treat. They have over a dozen delicious flavors to choose from, by the scoop, or by the pint. They offer homemade vegan sugar cones, waffle cones and cookie sandwiches. Seemingly Overzealous use an oatmilk base for their ice cream, so the texture was maybe a little more icy than we were expecting but fluffy and the flavor was good.
What we ordered: Butter Pecan on a vegan waffle cone and Earl Grey ice cream.

Location: The Green. 435 S Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28202
The Charlotte Street signs post was created by artist Gary Sweeney and shows the distance to several famous cities from Charlotte's. With the last post referencing "The Center of the Known World" the art installation official name and a great spot of picture taking.
